These prayers offered over the period of nine months will lead up to Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 12, 2026.
The First Friday Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a nine-month devotion of honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus by attending Mass, receiving Holy Communion, and offering prayers of consecration and trust to the Sacred Heart on the first Friday of each month. The devotion itself comes with a promise made by Jesus Christ to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. He promised that those who make a sincere effort to honor His Sacred Heart, particularly through the First Friday devotion, will experience special graces and spiritual benefits.
