We are also seeking Fish Fry sponsors, whose generosity helps keep our costs down and ticket prices affordable. To learn more about sponsoring, contact Bob Terry at [email protected].
The St. Mary’s Fish Fry Committee extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our 14th Annual Fish Fry a tremendous success. With the overwhelming support of our parish and community, we served over 1,100 meals—including deliveries to homebound parishioners and Dismiss House residents. This night would not have been possible without your generosity, time, and spirit of service.
Special thanks to Msgr. Mike, Father Zack, and the entire St. Mary School staff, faculty, and students for their ongoing dedication and support.
The Fish Fry Committee is the backbone of this beloved tradition. Months of planning, organizing, coordinating sponsors, recruiting volunteers, preparing, cooking, and serving all come together through their passion, teamwork, and joy in serving others.
We are also grateful to the many volunteers who brought energy and enthusiasm to the evening, including Shrewsbury High School students, the SHS football team, Boy Scouts Troop 4181, and St. Mary’s School students who helped with setup, cleanup, serving, and bussing tables. We extend our deep appreciation to all who supported the Fish Fry through their generosity.

about saint mary's lenten fish fry
Saint Mary’s Lenten Fish Fry Get Ready for the 14th Annual St. Mary’s Lenten Fish Fry! Mark your calendars and save the date,Friday, March 6, 2026. Thisis the day people come together for one of the most anticipated community traditions: the St. Mary Parish Lenten Fish Fry! What started back in 2011 as a simple idea from parishioners Bob and Judi Terry—bringing the beloved Pittsburgh-style Friday fish dinners to New England—has grown into a can’t miss event. With the support of Monsignor Michael Rose and an incredible team of volunteers, the Fish Fry has become a true community celebration. Attendance has skyrocketed over the years, and people start planning months in advance! This isn’t just a dinner—it’s a Community Event! sizzling fish, laughter filling the hall, and friends catching up over plates of golden, crispy goodness. In 2025, we served 928 meals in just 4 hours including 40 meals delivered to those at home, and this year promises to be even bigger and better! Monsignor Rose says it best: “I love seeing the energy, the smiles, and the sense of community this event brings.”
Comments about the Fish Fry: “I love how the Fish Fry at Saint Mary’s brings together all ages of our church community to gather in friendship, faith and fellowship! Whether I am volunteering for the night or enjoying a fish fry dinner with my husband, I love to pause and take in all the ways this special evening strengthens existing friendships and fosters new ones. It’s such a fun, relaxing environment filled with good conversations, smiles, laughter and amazing food and service. A perfect way to begin our time of Lenten reflection and renewal”. “Give it a try come to a meeting and see if it isn’t something you have been waiting to do, I don’t think you will regret it Great people great event, great, time. Come join the team or at least come attend the event and bring your friends and family, either way I don’t think you will be disappointed”.
