About the Speaker
Lucas Lima was born in Brazil and raised in the United States. Though he grew up Catholic and enjoyed going to church, it was at his Confirmation that he had a profound encounter with God. That moment ignited a slow but steady transformation in his life, leading him to fight against sin and embrace the fulfillment that comes from following Christ.
At the age of 16, Lucas helped found the Army of Christ youth group for the Brazilian community at St. Stephen’s and St. Joseph’s Parish. This year marks 10 years since its founding, a milestone that highlights the lasting impact of a movement that began with a desire to help young people encounter God and pursue holiness.
Today, Lucas helps lead Mission Make Me Holy, a movement dedicated to youth evangelization. Members read the daily Gospel and pray the Youth Chaplet, striving to live out their Catholic faith with intensity and devotion. With over 100 young people actively engaged in vocational discernment and the pursuit of holiness, Mission Make Me Holy continues to inspire and guide youth to a deeper relationship with Christ.
